I for the live of me cannot get the USB to boot properly.

Post by troncat1001 » 2024/04/10 21:32:31

I've tried multiple downloads. Different USBS. DIfferent ports. Used my phone to download. I tried multiple flashing. (rufus,Balena) nothing seems to want to work everytime I try to boot from USB and install I get fatal errors on boot. What is going on? I've been distro hopping since 09. I know what Im doing and still cant seem to diagnose what is going on. Any help would be nice seeing as I just wanna test the OS

CentOS 7 is almost dead.

Find another distro to play with.

Both rufus and I think balena are known to have problems with the hybrid isos that CentOS uses. Check teh link in my sig to the wiki article about what utilites are safe to use.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
