I am trying to install the RT kernel using

yum groupinstall RT

Unfortunately it fails during dependency checking with

Error: Package: tuned-profiles-realtime-2.9.0-1.el7_5.2.noarch (rt)
Requires: tuned = 2.9.0
Installed: tuned-2.10.0-6.el7_6.3.noarch (@updates)
tuned = 2.10.0-6.el7_6.3

Any help would be appreciated.

Please raise a bug on bugs.centos.org to report this.

I encountered the same issue.
--> Processing Dependency: tuned = 2.9.0 for package: tuned-profiles-realtime-2.9.0-1.el7_5.2.noarch
--> Finished Dependency Resolution
Error: Package: tuned-profiles-realtime-2.9.0-1.el7_5.2.noarch (slc7)
Requires: tuned = 2.9.0
Installed: tuned-2.11.0-9.el7.noarch (@anaconda)
tuned = 2.11.0-9.el7

The two tuned packages listed below exist in my directory
1) tuned-2.9.0-1.el7_5.2.noarch.rpm
2) tuned-profiles-realtime-2.9.0-1.el7_5.2.noarch.rpm

How do I resolve the requires tuned errors even though the rpm packages exists? Please send me the link if a solution is posted somewhere else.

You report it as a bug though the method for doing that now is different because bugs.centos.org is shut. Write to the CentOS mailing list and report it there. The problem is that the copy of tuned in the RT repo is backlevel and hasn't been updated to match the copy of tuned itself.

The latest tuned-profiles-realtime package in CentOS RT seems to be 2.11.0-10.el7.

Doesn't that slc7 mean that your system sees a Scientific Linux repo, rather than CentOS RT?

The "fix" would be to disable slc7 and enable the RT.
