should connect a mac to a single virtual machine

Post by GioMBG » 2019/06/24 10:48:47

Hi All,
I should connect an apple mac to a single virtual machine that runs on a CentOS server with virtual manager,
in other words I need an apple mac program to remotely control a pc only that this pc is on a CentOS server with a virtual manager.
what do you recommend ?
always thanks
Gio

remotely control a pc
What does that mean, actually? I, for example, use ssh to connect to a remote machine and to run programs in it (regardless of whether it is virtual or bare metal).

A virtual machine is connected to network somehow. For example:
* isolated (not really connected)
* routed with NAT
* routed
* bridged

The type of connection affects connectivity solution.

I don't believe there is a port of virt-manager for Macs but there is https://github.com/jeffreywildman/homebrew-virt-manager
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
