[Solved] issue with Google Chrome 77

Post by prd_cv1 » 2019/09/11 20:16:03

Hi All

I have just upgraded Google Chrome to his latest release (google-chrome-stable.x86_64 77.0.3865.75-1) on my Centos 7.6 but Google Chrome seems not working. Entering an URL, nothing happens, (Loading...), calling a new tab for settings, same thing. After a long time, we face a "Page Unresponsive" error message (wait or exit)

Did you succed using Google Chrome 77 ? Are you facing same issue ?

Solved. Discovered that to have Chrome running, we have to set SELinux to permissive in /etc/selinux/config

That sounds like something that needs to be investigated and reported back to Google if it's not a local issue.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

Setting SELINUX to permissive sounds phishy to me.

What is the rpm's repo ?
