Nvidia Quadro 410 (A7U60AA) and CentOs 6.3

Hello ,

We need some confirmation from a Centos specialist.
Can anyone please confirm that the HP NVIDIA Quadro 410 512MB Graphics Card (part number A7U60AA), is supported in a HP Proliant ML 350 G8 which will run CentOs 6.3.

I suggest you install nvidia-detect from ELRepo and run it. It will tell you which driver version supports your Nvidia device.

I'd also suggest that you really really don't run CentOS 6.3. It's more than 2 years old and has numerous security bugs in it. The current version is 6.5 and is the only supported version.

If you really need to run 6.3 then I would suggest that you investigate buying a Redhat license and find out how much it costs for EUS update support which enables you to stay on 6.3 and still receive security updates. It's expensive.

@ Toracat, unfortunately we can't use Nvidia detect as we don't have the Nvidia Quadro 410 graphics card yet. We intend to buy one, but first we need to know if it is supported by CentOS 6.3.

@Trevor, thank you for your advice. Regardless the security bugs in CentOS 6.3, would the Nvidia Quadro 410 be supported by CentOS 6.3?

Hi,

Just received a reply from Nvidia tech support.
According to them the graphics card is supported by CentOS 6.3 as it is Linux Based.
So I guess we can close this case.
