Can anyone confirm that this method works for newer RHEL 7 kernels. I'm trying to install cciss driver with RHEL 7 Update 6. I tried an alternative method "hpsa.hpsa_simple_mode=1 hpsa.hpsa_allow_any=1", and it didn't work for me. The hardware is HP DL360 G6 with P410i SA controller. I would greatly appreciate any help.

Re: Add kmod RAID driver in Centos 7 installer for HP Proliant
It doesn't work because a P410i uses hpsa in the first place. The cciss driver has no support for anything beyond a P400, after that the driver that should be used is hpsa. It doesn't need or want the hpsa.etc= parameters specfied as those are only needed for controllers that hpsa does not support natively.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
