389 Directory Server

Post by keess » 2014/10/09 14:49:58

Hi,

I'm trying to install 389 Directory Server, but can't find 389-console.
I installed:
389-ds-base-1.3.1.6-26.el7_0.x86_64.rpm
epel-release-7-2.noarch.rpm
If I look at the contents of the rpm -qlp, I also do not see 389-console.

Any suggestions?

I don't see any mention of CentOS 7 on http://directory.fedoraproject.org/ as yet
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
Info for USB installs on http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/InstallFromUSBkey
CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

There's a 389-console for Fedora - that's what you need, but it's not supported on CentOS.

Yes, RedHat 7 is also not mentioned, I will try to set it up on CentOS 6.
Thanks for you replies.
