System reporting

Hi all,

I run a small network of 'nodes' for rendering 3D animation, all systems running centos minimal.

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for remotely monitoring basic system parameters across the network. Predominantly I'm after cpu temperature as this would help identify systems in need of maintenance.

Thanks in advance,
Jan.

Thanks mghe,

I think checkIt is more for 'real world' monitoring. I'm after something software based that runs on systems reporting core system temperatures to a database somewhere on the network.

Basically lm-sensors with automated reporting so it's simple to view the entire network and identify any issues.

I don't think there is such a thing. I suspect that all monitoring packages like icinga/nagios etc have the ability to do this - there's a nagios-plugins-sensors.x86_64 package that will work with both icinga and nagios.
