Yeah, that's great. That works just fine now; thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it.

I find SELinux stuff a bit overwhelming not having ever dealt with it much, but I'll bookmark this thread a million times for future reference.

The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
Info for USB installs on http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/InstallFromUSBkey
CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
